#14 Shroud Cay: Exploring marine life in Exuma Land and Sea Park

Our first stop in the Exumas was Shroud Cay (~50nm from New Providence) – What a highlight! Of course, on our way there, one engine died down, so we had another little boat issue to solve in paradise. Once we figured out that it was the fuel lift-pump that had given up, and we had a spare one on board, it was a pretty quick fix.

We met our friends from Puff the Magic Dragon and went with our dinghy through the beautiful mangrove-rivers across the island to the “washing-machine” on the other side. Also, we had a nice little reef right in our backyard that we could snorkel on. When flying our drone, we realized just how stunning everything looks from a bird’s perspective – and discovered a fun pool to hang out at low tide, which we did the next day with some new French boater friends from the boat “Tranquila”. Shroud is a place I could have stayed for a long time, because its beauty just amazes me!
