#15 Life through turquoise glasses: Warderick Wells and Pipe Cay

Just like Shroud Cay, Warderick Wells amazed us with its turquoise water and lively underwater world. With nothing very urgent on our to-do-list we felt like we’d fully arrived in cruising life and could enjoy to the fullest. On our way to Warderick Wells we called the Marine Park to reserve one of the very sought-after moorings and luckily could get one for two nights. Entering the mooring field is a bit daunting as it’s really just a stretch of deeper water in very shallow surroundings. Once we arrived, we directly went for a snorkel and were welcomed by turtles, a group of spotted eagle rays that was patrolling the anchorage and some sharks.

Moving on, we made a stop at the so-called Aquarium, a snorkel spot known amongst tourists as being full of different species of fish. It was great to see them all so close and the kids were getting more and more into the groove with snorkeling. After an overnight stop, we sailed on to Pipe Cay, another shallow turquoise and stunning anchorage, where we made our first Conc menu and enjoyed hanging out at the near sand-bar that only appeared at low tide.
