When the weather allowed it, we started moving again towards the North. Our first stop was the Iguana beach at Leaf Cay. It was impressive to see how populated this little island was with Iguanas. Where we expected to see a few of these dinosaur-like creatures, they arrived in masses. All of them majestically and gently moving. After a while, the kids got used to them and focused their attention on the fun waves that came into the little bay. The four of them played with the waves and almost couldn’t be convinced to get back on the boat. Next up was a short stretch of not very comfortable sailing in the deeper Exuma Sound in order to get further North, but luckily nobody got seasick. In the late afternoon, we arrived at our destination Rudder Cut Cay. What a great place to make a bonfire at the beach, discover the little local cave, swim with sea-turtles and dive down to the mysterious sculpture of a mermaid playing the piano.
