The more time we spent sailing in the San Blas, the more we had the opportunity to make friends with locals. We really enjoy the sailing-community but also try and connect with locals, which the kids help us with tremendously. From Tito, the person who came to collect the monthly 10$-fee in his canoe in the anchorage who brought his whole family over for a visit, to people working for Ibin’s restaurant or also kids that play along with our kids – it is always fun to get to know more about their ways of life and give them a glimpse into our sailor’s life.
