Dennis Point Marina is where our boat is located in the Chesapeake Bay. After months of intense preparations, we were finally ready to board a plane to Baltimore. We were so lucky and grateful that Chris and Herco helped us out and gave our baggage a ride to the airport. Check-in and security was not easy, as they had a very very keen eye on the sizes and weight of our 13 meticulously prepared bags. After a re-packing session at check-in it had gotten late and we were a bit nervous at security, when they sorted ALL! of our bags to the line which needed to be checked by hand. When Bernie asked the security guy to speed up the process, he answered “no Sir! We are not speeding up anything, you have got all kinds of things in your hand-luggage” – pulling a drilling machine out which we could luckily leave with Chris and Herco.
We did catch our flight and all of our luggage arrived, so all went well in the end. We were so lucky to stay in Washington with Bernie’s all-time best friend Tarek for a few days. A warm place, absolutely delicious food and a great family welcomed us to the US. The kids had fun playing with Juju and Shayib and we enjoyed spending time with Tarek and his family.
